Nasal Polyps are edematous prolapsed nasal mucosa.

This is commonly due to allergy and/or infection.

The other causes are tumors (inverted Papilloma or olfactory neuroblastoma) or fungal sinusitis.

Poylps can be obstructing the sinuses or prolapse and almost protruding from the nose.
